Emergency water interruption scheduled for Schoemansville
*HARTBEESPOORT:* Madibeng Local Municipality has announced an emergency
water supply interruption affecting Schoemansville and surrounding areas on
Tuesday, 13 October 2026, from 08:00 until midnight.
According to the municipal notice, maintenance teams will install a 300 mm
valve and a 200 mm shut-off valve at the Schoemansville Reservoir. The work
is intended to improve the reliability and efficiency of the local water
distribution network.
Residents are urged to store enough water for essential needs and switch
off water-using appliances to prevent damage or flooding when service
resumes. Water supply may be restored gradually after the work is completed.
The municipality apologised for the inconvenience and thanked affected
residents for their patience and cooperation.
